Hello mums and dads from Taronges,
As we start the third trimester we keep learning new songs while reinforcing the old ones. One of our favourite things to do is look at the colour of things so as we love saying the colour names I thought we could use it to introduce a new song. The new song is called “1,2,3,4,5…” and it’s about a fish that bites my little finger! Ouch!
First of all we looked at the rainbow colours and then we matched it with the fish and then we sang the song all together. The cheeky little fish bit the children’s little finger as well…all of them love the silliness of it all and we have a good laugh every day.
I am going to leave the song words here so you can sing it with your children.
1,2,3,4,5
Once I caught a fish alive
6,7,8,9,10
Then I let it go again
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so
Which finger did he bite?
This little finger on the right!
